about

Jaunty, happy vibes rule throughout this hilarious album. The musical styles change from song to song, taking the listener on an interesting, wacky journey. "Words to Live By" proves Griffo’s comedic chops while “Labels” shows the depths of his excellent musicianship. Funky beats, groovy ukulele licks, and jazzy keyboard lines make you want to get up and dance to “I Need to Eat Your Brains”. The juxtaposition of happy ragtime music with piercing environmentalist lyrics in “The Bottled Water Rag” explain the hilarious side of a tricky issue. “Country Song” makes light to how so many country songs talk about the same things: Jesus, beer, old friends, and Jesus. “Ghosts, Ghouls, Goblins, and some guy named Gary Greg” is a quirky Halloween themed tune about your worst nightmare: Hanging out with a frat guy.
The catchy tunes of this album are often silly yet touching, playing the heart strings and making us laugh all at the same time.
